Stress is not only caused by the emotions we feel or our reactions to unpleasant situations, stress can also be from physical imbalances. Any time the body is faced with a pathogen (virus, bacteria, parasite) or toxin, it becomes stressed. This is a good thing, in that the immune system is activated to help remove the stressor. The problem is that when we have too many stressors happening at once, the body cannot effectively address them all, dis-ease sets in and myriad undesirable symptoms can occur. A cycle then begins where physical stress begets emotional stress begets physical stress and so on. In order to allow the body to do the self-healing it is capable of, stress must be addressed on both the physical and mental/emotional levels. Only then will we be able to experience Vibrant Health.
